It’s the final day of the regular season, so we’ve got a full schedule as teams brace for the playoffs and try to get their final games in. There are some very interesting matchups taking place around the section, and I’m anxious to see rivals Pearl River and Tappan Zee. The Pirates have already locked up a league title and the No. 1 seed in Class A, so they may be cautious with some of their key players. But at 14-0-1, will they be tempted to try and remain unbeaten heading into the postseason? Pearl River’s only tie came against the Dutchmen, who always seem to play the Pirates tough. Follow me on Twitter @vzmercogliano for live updates from TZ and results from games across the area. I’ll also be crunching numbers for seeding projections later on tonight, which I’m sure many of you are anxious to see.
