Hastings finished a two-game season sweep of Sleepy Hollow Tuesday, topping the visiting Headless Horsemen 3-1.

“In a 3-1 game we did play pretty well coming off of a pretty horrific lost to Pelham on Saturday,” Yellow Jackets coach Fred Sandhop said. “The guys rebounded pretty well. We’ve struggled with scoring goals against quality clubs and to put three in against Sleepy is something that we can be proud of.”

The Yellow Jackets topped Sleepy Hollow 2-1 last month.

Tuesday, they were led by Adam Deutsch, who had a goal and an assist.

Max Bourgeois and Tim Spenser also scored and Lee Owen made four saves.

Demetri Boumis scored for the Headless Horsemen off of an assist from Luke Colley. Teammate Jack Corcoran had 10 saves.

As the season winds down, the Yellow Jackets are second in League 2-C behind Irvington. The title could come down to that match-up next week at Hastings.

“We know that we have a league title in our sights,” Sandhop said. “They took care of Sleepy. Dobbs Ferry is on Friday, but the game we are obviously looking at is against Irvington next week. Not to look to far ahead of ourselves, but that’s where we’re at.”
