Monday’s schedule

0

Today is the first day of the 2013 season with a full schedule of games, and we’ve got some really good ones to look forward to. There are several big matchups to choose from, but there’s one that stands out as simply too interesting to pass up. Port Chester — which is coming off of a trip to the Class A state final — has been moved up to Class AA this season, and the Rams will have their first test against one of the best teams that AA has to offer in White Plains. I’ll be there to take in the action, so follow me on Twitter @vzmercogliano for live updates and postgame coverage.

Here are my picks, and for the first time in 2013, my picks are in bold:

North Rockland at Nyack, 4 p.m.
Spring Valley at Pearl River, 4 p.m.
Tappan Zee at Ramapo, 4:15 p.m.
