Port Chester to play in Class A regional final today

The only class that will be playing a regional final today is Class A, and Port Chester is in Oneonta to take on Section 4 champ Maine-Endwell. The Spartans beat Section 9 champ New Paltz 3-0 in the regional semis on Thursday. They’re also the same team that knocked off previous Section 1 champ Lakeland on PKs in the regional final last season.

The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Hall of Fame Fields in Oneonta. I’ve arranged to have PC coach John Cafaldo call me after the game, so I’ll have a recap posted as soon as possible. The winner will earn a spot in the state final four at Middletown HS this weekend.
